DeepWalk is a fast-growing VC-backed startup that simplifies sidewalk ADA Transition Plans for public works departments. Our software transforms 3D models of sidewalks into deliverables that help solve the logistical, planning, and engineering challenges that prevent accessible design.
Role Description
DeepWalk is seeking a full-time Full Stack Software Engineer with a Front-End focus for a hybrid role (2-3 days a week in office). We’re looking for someone who can write production-level code for feature-rich web applications. You will be working on a map-focused SaaS platform for sidewalk and city infrastructure management teams alongside our other full stack developers. You will be expected to take full ownership of new features and collaborate to maintain existing features.
We’re looking for:
• 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering
• Strong proficiency with developing customer-facing applications in TypeScript and React
• Ability to create user interfaces for features with varying scope and complexity
• Knowledge of React testing libraries such as Cypress and Jest
• Capable of writing optimal and efficient code.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and storage solutions (preferably AWS)
• Experience working with RESTful APIs, SQL databases, and ORMs.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and automated deployment workflows
• (Optional) Experience with mapping libraries such as Mapbox or ArcGIS
• Strong collaboration skills to gather and refine requirements with business stakeholders
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and drive projects with minimal supervision
• A proactive mindset with a willingness to take ownership and suggest architectural improvements
• A focus on building robust, reliable, and maintainable systems
• Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-paced startup environments and wearing multiple hats
Compensation:
• $100,000 – $130,000 annual salary
• 0.15-0.25% equity
• Health insurance
• Annual bonus
