Mobile alerts, digital communication platforms, and environmental sensors also enable authorities to share timely information, helping communities respond more quickly as emergencies develop.

The One Health approach recognizes that disasters affect people, animals, and the environment simultaneously.

Preparing for emergencies therefore requires collaboration among public health professionals, emergency managers, veterinarians, environmental scientists, engineers, healthcare providers, and community organizations. Coordinated planning helps protect public health, preserve ecosystems, safeguard animal welfare, and improve recovery following disasters.
